R.A.D ONE

White / Gum

Available here in an exclusive White / Gum colorway, the R.A.D. One is a unisex training shoe designed in Portland, Oregon, and geared toward the needs of the all-terrain, high-motor athlete.

The R.A.D. One is produced in small production runs with quality materials and green principles in mind. Each shoe is cushioned for plyometrics, stabilized for weightlifting, durable enough for rope climbs, lightweight enough for gymnastics, and fine-tuned for the grind of everyday training or high intensity competitions. Better still, they’re equally suitable as casual wear, with a comfortable fit and feel that seamlessly transitions from the gym to the street.

R.A.D. (“Rally Against Destruction”) is a small, independent shoe company founded by a competitive CrossFit athlete and an experienced athletic shoe designer. Together, they have developed a light springy EVA midsole for the R.A.D. ONE called Swell Foam™, which is partly made from sugarcane (currently 30%), reducing the reliance on traditional, fossil-based materials in the shoe’s construction.

Favorite Go TO shoe
I bought My RAD shoes almost a year ago and they have held up great. They are my go to. Use for CrossFit training. I wear the same size as my Nike shoes. Great for my narrow feet but my husband also has a pair and loves and has really wide feet so great fit and feel.

Great shoe for the right person
My first impression is that this shoe appears to be very high quality with good materials. They also look cool while being somewhat understated. I really wanted to like them, but unfortunately some fit issues led me to return them. First off, you should absolutely order at least a half size up, maybe even a whole size up. For most shoes I can wear either an 8.5 or 9, but the RAD One sizing runs smaller than any shoe I've ever tried. Unless you have a very narrow foot you will regret not sizing up. They were also pretty tight on the top of my foot to the point that I had to loosen the laces quite a bit. I felt like they might break in over time, but the deal breaker was they rubbed my heel pretty badly. Taller socks would probably help with that during the break in period. I could see these being very good versatile trainers once broken in, and I might try again later in a larger size. That said, I've had other shoes that feel great as soon as I put them on and these are not it.

Very very disappointed
I’m extremely disappointed that a pair of $150.00 shoes can start coming apart like this within 3 months. The mesh on the top of the shoe is coming undone. I’ve sent an email to Rogue but havnt heard anything yet. These shoes are marketed and geared towards athletes. I would think that they would be a lot stronger than this. I was really drawn in with all the hype around these shoes but I feel very very let down.
Can’t believe the mesh is coming undone like this.

Great snug fit
I like a snug/tight sneaker. Prefer RAD for metcon, bootcamp, HIIT classes. DO order one size up.

Must buy
Been doing CrossFit for 12 years now, wore the nanos, the metcons, the no bull and now the RADs, these are the best as well as they are well rounded. Well rounding meaning you can do every workout imaginable with them including heavy squats and ply lifts. It takes 2-3 weeks to fully break them in. Incredible shoe

Low Quality
These are hands down the worst pair of training shoes I've ever owned. In the past 10 years, I've worn Nano's, Metcon's, TYR's, and just regular sneakers during my workouts; not a single has come apart like these. The midsoles are coming completely off. The issue started happening 3 months in and after 6 months, they became unwearable. Instead of trying to replicate the marketing that you see in sneaker culture, they need to focus on doing QC. There is a reason why huge brands like Nike can get away with hype and limited releases.
